You can do ovstop nvpagerd and then ovstart nvpagerd which in my case always
clears the queue. I don't know of any 'cleaner' way of doing this. But, I
think you should really consider doing something to cut down the nuber of pages
that your NetView
sends out. Over here if NetView sends out more than 4 or 5 pages at the same
time I've had people come and shut the modem off! Some people have realy short
tempers and I've had to write scripts to controll what actually gets paged,
i.e. some root cause
analysis.

Occasionally we will have a core router with multiple interfaces go down
causing multiple pages to our support personnel. When this happens the paging
queue can fill up waiting for the modem to dial, etc. Two questions:

1. Is there a way of clearing the NV paging queue? Where is it?
2. Is it possible to have NetView use two modems to help speed up the paging
process?

Ok, that was three questions. Currently using NetView V4.1, AIX 4.2.

Thanks for any response.
