There is no one single source for MIB's. Aside from the standard MIB II
components,
each and every vendor will provide or make available the private MIB for their
device(s).
Most vendors of network management products will, at their discretion, update
the MIBs
that they distribute with their product. This is yet another source for
MIBs, however, it
has been my experience that the NMS vendors will tell you the same
thing...."get the MIB
from the device vendor".
The e-mail address listserv@ucsbvm.ucsb.edu represents an interest list for
users of
Netview. If you send mail to this address with the the simple text
"subscribe NV-L (your name [first last]), you will receive an
acknowledgement to which
you must reply. You will then be added to the list for which you will receive
mail on a variety
of subjects.
I would suggest posting a note to this interest list and see what kind of
response you get to
your question on MIB sources.

> Dear People:
I have Polycenter Manager on Netview and am in the begining of a plan of
Network Management in my company.
I need to create applications, reports, events and would like to
retrieve all the information that could be helpful for
my organization.
So, I would like to have all the mibs from all my equipments loaded in
the Polycenter(This is the same that Netview)
Would you please, send me your mibs or a reference where I could get
them.
If you consider that there is other way than loading the mibs, please
tell.
Just one more question, I use for the wan connections between different
buildings leased lines (Frame-Relay), I wonder
if there are mib-2 compliant for the frame-relay, if so which variables
have sense and please guide me to get helpful
results.
Bye,
Thanks in Advance for your hekp,
Sincerely,
Alexis Villagra
