Tivoli Management Region (TMR), strictly is the domain of machines
managed by 1 Tivoli Management Region Server. In practise, particularly
in a NetView environment where you may not be running any other Tivoli
stuff, TMR may be used to refer to the TMR Server, ie the first machine
you installed Tivoli on, ie. your NetView machine.

Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC) - the Tivoli product for event
collection, correlation and automation. Think of it as a potential
Manager-of Managers that can collect events from Tivoli, NetView,
OpenView, NT, logfile, AS/400, roll-your-own,....

This one has changed over the last couple of years - the Mid Level
Manager (MLM) is now a no-charge feature of TME 10 NetView V5 for Unix.
It used to be a separate product under the SystemView regime and was,
briefly, orderable as part of Tivoli Distributed Monitoring but it has
now moved back into the NetView product bundle.
