This question was posted 9/22, so I'll bet you know the answer by now: Netview
should take care of updating the names during the regularly scheduled
configuration poll. By default this happens once per day. You must also
have the map setting controlling labels set to something other than 'ip
address',
such as 'default'. One-by-one demandpolls will also do it. Hope you did not
flush the database unneccessarily.....

changes were made to our domain name service manager so that the
object symbol labels on netview would display "node name" instead of ip
address.  aside from clearing the databases(limited), what can be done
to make the ipmaps, collections reflect these changes permanently.....
