Thanks for the help. It turns out that MLM can/will use tcp, and
NetView receives the traps OK.
What doesn't work is the "snmptrap -t ..." command!
The -t is supposed to force traps to use tcp, but seems to have a bug,
since NetView ALWAYS flushes those traps.
Anyway, we're happy.
