James,

Do you know if one can run multiple T/EC consoles on multiple systems
without invalidating T/EC licensing? Or does one need a separate T/EC
license for each T/EC console (not server). Thanks,

With NetView V5.1 you can do both. If there is a TEC console installed on
the NetView box, then you can (a) select a NetView event in TEC and open
the submaps on which this node is displayed, and (b) in NetView you can
select a node on the NetView map and display all the events for it that are
currently in TEC. You need the Tivoli Integration Package for NetView
(TIPN) patch for this latter function.

Subject: NetView Interface with T/EC

Hi,

I'm trying to find out to what extent NetView will interface/interact with
Tivoli Enterprise Console (T/EC). I understand how to have events forwarded
from
NetView to T/EC. What about opening the NetView Console from T/EC or
opening a
Tivoli desktop from NetView? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tami Curtner
