The performance hit is likely to be when trapd is started. He reads the
entire trapd.conf file into a memory structure. Once there, access is as
fast as we can make it. Your file is bigger than any I have worked with
but I don't think you will see a porblem.

Subject: trapd.conf size
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Is there any limit to the size of the trapd.conf file?
Having added 75% of the Microsoft trap definitions that our support team
would like to monitor I notice that my trapd.conf file went from 440Kb to
1.36Mb!!
I am sure that this will have some sort of perfromance hit on trapd but I
just wondered if anything else was likely to be affected.
Thanks
