Applcations are going to install in their default directories. If you
want these diectories to be in specific volume groups or physical
volumes, you have to first create the default directories as
filesystems and mount them before installing. Check the install guides
for sizing, since the install scripts won't check your special
filesystems.

The only thing you can control at install-time is where the Framework
goes.

Nways uses:
/usr/CML (just creates the directory in /usr if it doesn't find it)
/usr/CML/OStore/cache (it will create a filesystem in rootvg if it
doesn't find it)
/usr/LANReMon (for Remote Monitor, if you install that).

Plus, you've got prereqs like the Java jdk. That uses /usr/jdk_base.

If you're really going to tune this, you ought to plan where your pging
space is going, too, so you don't have paging on the same physical disk
as your databases.

Hope that helps.
