There is APAR IX83427, Newly discovered nodes remain blue in collections
but
are green on the IP map. The description says if you stop and restart
collmap they
change to green. This may or may not be the same problem you are having.
You
should contact Support for more information about the status of a fix, or
for help
determining whether this is in fact what you are seeing.

Hello Sylvia,

thank you for the advice. I did what you said but there is a little
difference:
In the first submap the status source is 'symbol'. So I changed in the
Collection-Submap the status source from 'unknown' to 'symbol' and
nothing hapened. The object remained in blue colour. But when I changed
the status source to 'compound (propagated)' the object switched over to
green.

You said that this is really a bug. Is this known to IBM or schould I open
a
PMR?

Thank you for your help and best wishes

Hello Gerd,

yes, there is a bug in object collections. Sometimes, symbols in
collections get the wrong symbol status source when they are included in
the collection.
Check and correct it by doing the following:
Put the mouse pointer on the symbol and right-click to get the context
menu.
Select Edit --> Modify/Describe --> Symbol and take a look at the
symbol status source.
If you do this in the first submap you will get "Object" as symbol status
source.
If you do it in the collection submap you will get a different value as
symbol status source. Right?
So change the symbol status source in the collection submap to the same
value as in the first submap and the status of your symbol will no longer
be unknown.

Hope this helps.
