Hello Bill -
Then you will have to call Support and get an NT specialist to help.
I have exhausted all I know and without an error message in the ovstatus, I
don't know what could be wrong.
You could try running the executable from the command line
/usr/ov/bin/tecad_nv6k.exe
and see if anything shows up there.
In the future, please send you responses to the NV-L list so everyone can
share them.
Thanks.

Subject: RE: TEC adapter on NT (was nothing)
Thanks for the reply. Actually I was trying to use the TME interface, but
tried the non-TME interface just to see if I could get anything to work. I
did all the the steps you mentioned. There is an entry for tecad_nv6k with
a 0 at the beginning. When I try to ovstart tecdad_nv6k it comes back with
not_running ...done message with absolutely no error messages that I can
find. The log only shows an ovstart with no errors. Renaming executable
and ovaddobj which you mentioned were done.

The daemon doesn't run or it does send anything to TEC? I would have
thought that with your NT as a managed node, you would run the TME version.
Did you rename tecad_nv6k_tme.exe to tecad_nv6k.exe? Did you run the
ovaddobj \usr\ov\lrf\tecad_nv6k.lrf? Type the \usr\ov\conf\ovsuf file.
Is there an entry in there for tecad_nv6k? Does it start with "0:" ? If
so, type ovstart tecad_nv6k . Does it start start? Do you get an error
message? If it starts, tyr ovstatus tecad_nv6k . What's the status?

I'm trying to get Netview 5.1 on an NT box to integrate with a 3.6 TEC
adapter and having no luck. Netview is running on a managed node and TEC
and the TMR are on other boxes(UNIX). I can't get either the TME or the
non-TME version of tecad_nv6k to run. I've followed the instructions in
the
user guide but without success.
Does anyone have any ideas on getting tecad_nv6k to run? Thanks.
