An LU type 0 session is an SNA session to an IBM mainframe, with a sort of
"roll-your-own" protocol.
There is nothing in NetView V3, V4, or V5 which uses this.

Can you tell us precisely what application you have installed on the same
box with NetView that your are trying to migrate?

I need to confirm something. I am new to NetView so bear with me.

Does NetView running with AIX 4.x support LU type 0 sessions?

If not, what does one do in order to migrate from 3.x to 4.x and
continue to run NetView?

Thanks for your assistance.
