No, it's not excluded in my seedfile. I've only got IP numbers in my
seedfile anyway, no OID's...

The ovtopodump didn't find anything.

# ovtopodump -rl rtr01-002.localfed.rins.net
ERROR: Could not find object named rtr01-002.localfed.rins.net.

Unfortunately ovmapdump is not really going to work for me. Due to the
nameing system I used, the hostnames are not unique for each object, but the
fully host/domain name is. So looking for 'rtr01-002' with ovmapdump
displays about 30 other routers, and it's difficult to tell which router is
for which location (impossible as far as I can tell actually). Here's a
sample output of that command:
Submap 1825 rtr01-002 Shared 30635 Row Column
Submap 1400 rtr01-002 Shared 24621 Row Column
Submap 769 rtr01-002 Shared 13526 Row Column
Symbol 11056 rtr01-002 90525 2600 Icon
Symbol 5285 rtr01-002 24621 1396 Icon
Symbol 6355 rtr01-002 29523 1242 Icon
Symbol 8931 rtr01-002 24731 2027 Icon

Thanks for the suggestions though.
Any other ideas?

Hi Chris,

Are you excluding discovery of this node via a seedfile? It seems like the
information you have might indicated that it was excluded by OID.
Alternatively,
are you sure there is nothing remaining in the object database,
topology database, or map database. Can check using the following:-

1. ( as you indicated ) ovobjprint -s rtr01-002.localfed.rins.net
2. ovtopodump -rl rtr01-002.localfed.rins.net
3. ovmapdump -m <map> | grep rtr01-002

Point 3 would need to be done for each of the maps existing for the
Netview server.
