I know within the VI editor mode this is EOF indicator.   I also believe it
can mean different things in different situations.

Subject:  snmpColDump and ~ files




I am using snmpColDump within scripts to archive my data and am getting
lots of my data files (not the ! files) with ~ (tilda) on the end.  I
used to know what this meant - can anyone remind me??
