Date: Wed, 6 Jan 1999 16:02:07 PST
Organization: University of California at Santa Barbara
Reply-to: Discussion of IBM NetView and POLYCENTER Manager on NetView <NV-L@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU>
Sender: Discussion of IBM NetView and POLYCENTER Manager on NetView <NV-L@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU>
This reminder file is sent to the NV-L list monthly.

Last revised 02/27/96.

To subscribe to the NV-L list, send mail to LISTSERV@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU
(not to NV-L nor NV-L-request), with the single line in the body
of the note:

  SUBSCRIBE NV-L firstname lastname

This list is for the discussion of NetView and all related products,
platforms, usage questions, bugs, and for the dissemination of
announcements and updates by members of the NetView Association.
Vendors are welcome to post short announcements of products and/or
services.

Submissions to the List should be sent to NV-L@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU and
NOT to owner-nv-l, which is my personal mailbox.

Please note that this list may be obtained in Digest Format in which all
postings for each day are shipped in a single note. To request NV-L
in this format, send a note to LISTSERV@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU (not to NV-L
or NV-L-request) with the following line in the body of the note:

SET NV-L DIGEST

To revert to individual mailings, send a note with

SET NV-L NODIGEST

SET list DIGEST (and other Server commands) - Please note that only
submissions to the list should be sent to NV-L. All requests, such
as the DIGEST format, QUERY, REVIEW, GET, SUBSCRIBE, SET, UNSUBSCRIBE,
etc. must be sent to the server itself, LISTSERV@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU.
Requests sent to NV-L will get distributed to everyone on the list.
Requests sent to NV-L-request get put in my personal mailbox as List
Owner and will be returned to you along with this reminder file.

WARNING: If you are including original text in a reply to a previous
posting, please DO NOT INCLUDE HEADER LINES such as those beginning with
Reply-to:, Sender:, etc. that point to the list as such files are
considered possible mail delivery error reports by LISTSERV and are
reformatted and redirected by the server to my personal mailbox. When
possible, I will return these files for resubmission, but don't count on
it.

If you need to subscribe a server (such as an exploder), please send me
a note directly. If you wish to know more about the LISTSERV facilities,
please use the HELP facility described in your subscription confirmation
message from the LISTSERV server.

NOTE: if email to you from the list is rejected/returned to the server
several times (intermediate nodes not available, userid or node name
changes, full mailbox, or service down for several days) you may be
removed from the list automatically (as a function of the L-Soft
LISTSERV server itself). While a notice is usually sent, you may not
receive it due to the failed pathway. To determine if this the cause of
no list mail, attempt to resubscribe. If you are still subscribed, you
will be advised. If you are not subscribed, this will be necessary to
restart you subscription.

UNSUBSCRIBE or SIGNOFF requests should be sent to the LISTSERV server,
LISTSERV@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU with a single line in the body of the message

UNSUBSCRIBE NV-L

Users new to the use of L-Soft's LISTSERV are encouraged to read
the online files LISTSERV REFCARD and LISTSERV GENINTRO, which can
be obtained by sending the following commands in the body of a mail
message to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.NET:

 INFO REFCARD
 INFO GENINTRO

To receive the NetView Tips & Tricks newsletter, send an email message
