Subject: tme10 SHARE Technical Conference / Feb. 21-26 / San Francisco
Just a quick note (last one, I promise!) to let you know about the upcoming
SHARE Technical Conference and its relevance to topics on our Tivoli List
Server.
SHARE is a computer user group that originated in the 1950s, is run by 400
volunteers, and presents two computer conferences each year. The next one
is in San Francisco, Feb. 21-26. More information about SHARE,
registration, and hotel costs may be obtained from www.share.org.
SHARE provides in one week more than 900 one-hour technical presentations
covering nearly every aspect of data processing. Tivoli related sessions
are among the wide range of offerings. Included in this note is a list of
Tivoli and Netview session titles that will be presented next month. The
full schedule of presentations is on the SHARE web site, including session
titles, speakers, days, times, and full descriptions.
As far as education goes, you can learn a lot of current technological
information at SHARE for a very reasonable cost. You get to pick from a
wide array of presentations that may be relevant to your work. You have
the advantage of establishing contacts with many others who are doing the
same kind of work as you. And lastly, there is a Technology Exhibition
with 75 exhibitors (Tivoli Systems, Inc. is one) where you can see
demonstrations and directly ask vendors questions about their products.
