Hi, all and special thanks, Larry!
Here's what i got:
[james@NMSSR1:/home/root]> ls -l /usr/lib|grep libXm.a
lrwxrwxrwx 1 bin bin 36 Aug 27 18:07 libXm.a ->
/usr/lpp/X11/lib/R5/Motif1.2/libXm.a
[james@NMSSR1:/home/root]>
So it seems i'm in the clear!
Cordially, Ralph.

Betreff: Re: Versioncheck X11 and Motif
When apps loads in shared Motif libraries they access libXm.a
so check where that lib is in your dir struct ('whereis libXm.a')
or using find command, if it's a symbolic link, then use: 'file <path to
libXm.a>/libXm.a' that should say something like:
/usr/lpp/X11/lib/R5/Motif1.2/libXm.a
that gives X11R5 and Motif version 1.2 info.
please mail if it doesn't work

Hi, all!
Am about to migrate from NV V4 to TME10 Framework 3.6 and NV V5R1.
Release notes say i'll need X11 release 5 and Motif version 1.2.
lslpp -cia|grep -E "X11R|Motif" gives me the following:
/usr/lib/objrepos:X11.compat.lib.Motif10 4.2.0.0:::5765-65500::X11.compat
/usr/lib/objrepos:X11.compat.lib.Motif114 4.2.0.0:::5765-65500::X11.compat
/usr/lib/objrepos:X11.compat.lib.X11R3 4.2.0.0:::5765-65500::X11.compat
/usr/lib/objrepos:X11.compat.lib.X11R4 4.2.0.0:::5765-65500::X11.compat
Beats me. Does that mean i'll have to do an upgrade?
If yes, any tips for getting the real stuff?
ANOTHER MACHINE ALREADY RUNNING V5R1 SHOWS THE SAME lslpp-output AS MINE!
Is there anything better (like "oslevel") for getting my X11- and
Motif-version?
Thanks in advance, Ralph.
