packets limited tio 550 bytes

Hi NetViewers,

One of my RS6000 F40 running AIX 4.2.1 is sending 550 bytes packets;
when we traced we didn't see any packet bigger than that. On other F40s
the packets are bigger ... I've checked the max IP packet size config &
it's 1492 . Is there any other place I have to look ?
