Take a look at the registration file that results from the creation of a
MIB application, and the
man pages for the commands it uses. I have in the past taken the liberty of
editing the resulting
application, though not to invoke an expression. You might find that there
is some fundamental
reason that support for expressions has never been added to the MIB
Application Builder. Or
you might find that it is a piece of cake. The registration files for mib
appls are under one of the
subdirectories under /usr/OV/registration/C. Note that any mods you make
could be undone by
the MIB Application Builder gui, so you might want to protect them with
permissions or something.
You might also have trouble with the lack of MIB coercion in the MIB Appls
as well.
Let us know if it works!

I am trying to setup some mib applications for a customer and they would
like to use some expressions we have created for the data collection.

When I want to add a source OID for the graph mib application, I can only
enter loaded mib variables and there is no option to use an expression.

Anyone know of a way to hack around this, I'm hoping it can be done as the
graphing tool from the collection window quite happily uses data collected
with an expression. There must be a way ??

Mark :-)
