Have you looked in $HOME/nv6000.log? Should be a clue in there.

Hi all,

I recently applied some AIX maintenance to my Netview Server. I'm running
AIX 4.3.2 and Netview 5.1 on Framework 3.6. After rebooting I've had
problems being able to start Netview. The daemons run fine, but when I try
to start the user interface I hit problems. If I start it from Framework, I
get the following message:

Starting user interface...
portmap is already running

Command completed successfully

But then the interface does not appear.....I am not familiar with portmap,
but would this be what may be causing problems?

Thanks for your time,

Matt Ashfield
