Open a PMR if you want individualized help.

The location symbol should open a submap as long as you are actually
clicking on it. Is it real small or something? Oftentimes if you have
one of those "wireball" network pictures with thousands of nodes on one
map, and you add a location symbol to start cutting down the clutter, it
will be too small for the cursor to click on. You think you are on top of
it but the machine does not. In that case, you have to use a GUI function
that takes a very l-o-n-g time in a large network: Locate submap. When
you click on this function it laboriously builds a list of all the submaps
in your map, one at a time. This can literally take hours. But eventually
you get a complete list of submaps and you can select the one you want to
open.

Good luck

James,
When I try to open the symbol for me to pu the IP nodes in, it does not
open when I double click on it. Is this something that I need to open up a
PMR for?

Why not? What happens when you try to open them?

Hi there,
We are in the process of configuring Netview. I am trying to create Object
symbols for each location that we are managing here in the north. But once
I add the symbol to the IP submap, I can't open the symbol to put network
nodes into the symbol.
