That is correct.  The input #2 trap is used as a template, rather like a
literal.  It is not processed further unless you add logic for that.   I am
not sure what you mean by "close".  Are you talking about TEC events?

Hi James,

Thanks for your answer to my ruleset question. From further experimentation
I
have now created a rule that appears to work with a delay time of 3
seconds.

However, the trap designated as input 2 to the node is not passed for
further
processing even if the delay period for the original trap has already been
exceeded. Is this NetView working as designed or do I need to add any extra
logic to my ruleset?

We are logging these messages to anotherapplication and want the second
message to close the first when it has been logged.
