I hope that I'm responding to this in the right context.
If your trying to obtain some new symbol that appear on Netview but not the
Web view, you need to recreate the symbols by deleting the existing one and
running "administer->netview web interface->rebuild GIF files". Before you
do this, you have to delete all the gif files from
/usr/OV/web/httpd/htdocs/TME10/NetView/s. Do not delete the ColIcon.xx.gif
files. After running this, you should get all your symbols.
I also had a problem where the symbols did not appear when the web page was
first viewed. It took a few refreshes and eventually they woud appear. I
reveived a patch to the java file to fix this and I understand this fix is
part of 5.1.1
