I work for IBM and install a lot of Nways, so I my opinion does not count.
I will just say, however, that there is a new version being announced this
week. They have some data-dense web sites. And be advised that java takes a
LOT of juice. Memory in particular. The delta between what you need for
just Netview
and the additional Nways is bigger than you might think. It is not so much
the
number of nodes as it is the one-time step up. A gig is nice. But there are
a number
of ways to distribute that load.
I can hardly keep up with all of the function in this product set.

Well, here's one that few folks will know, but it's kind of a "stay tuned".
The Nways product group was recently transferred from the Hardware division
to Tivoli. So look for more and better integration in the future.

running Netview 5.1, Framework 3.6 and AIX 4.3.2 . I was hoping for some
feedback from some of you regarding your impressions with the Nways
product. More specifically, how good of a job does it do in managing ATM
(with vlans) switch based networks and router-based networks..What are the
better features that you find it has, and what are some of it's
limitations?
