Can you duplicate the problem with the event command? Type in
event -e 58916964 -h test1
and generate a dummy event of the same type. Is the problem still there?
Have you checked out the trapd configuration? Type in xnmtrap from the
command line as root, select the NetView enterprise and then the 58916964
trap, and click the "Modify" button and see what the Log Message says.
The standard is just $3 which means it displays whatever is in the third
variable of the trap netmon sent. Is that the same case for you?

Subject: Re: NETWORK_MANAGER_UP
Hi All,
I see that the trap is a Netmon specific trap (58916964).
This event is generated by TME 10 Netview
when it detects a TME 10 NetView is UP.
I received this events:
Wed Apr 28 08:23:36 1999 calypso.unipg.it N Network_Manager_f
'calypso.unipg.it' UP
...
...
Wed Apr 28 10:34:44 1999 minosse.unipg.it N Network_Manager_f
'minosse.unipg.it' UP
...
...
Wed Apr 28 11:12:12 1999 egeo.unipg.it N Network_Manager_f 'egeo.unipg.it'
UP
where all machine are RS6000 node.
Each event is generated only when I restart netmon daemon.
The problem is understand because the machine is different (sometimes the
machine is the really netview server).
Thank in advance,
Carlo.
