I haven't played with this so just a question: Why is $NVA in quotes?
Have you tried it without the quotes?
I would have thought that the "" meant "don't substitute for this".

What is the right syntax to pass variable values in Netview for NT 5.1.1
???

My Netview for AIX example; postemsg -S jakeaix -m "$NVA" NV6K_Event
NV6K is passing variable value $NVA

I have not found right syntax to pass variable value in NT.

Any suggestions ???
