Thanks for the response Rob and Herbert, but for clarification...

Before I can run the nvturbodatabase, do I have to do the old form of
compression, i.e. "ovwdbdmap -c" or can I go right to the nvturbodatabase ??

Also, I must shutdown Netview to run the nvturbodatabase command, should I
restart Netview and re-sync everything with the new compressed db OR can I
go right into the migration and not restart Netview. If I have to resync,
how long do you think it will take?

Any info appreciated.

Gord.

Hi Gord,

1. install the recent netview-patch 5.1.1, it will solve this problem
2. run ovwdbdmap -c to compress the map-database, especially the
value_info.pag file (make a copy of ../databases before)
3. run nvturbodatabase again

this has also solved our problem
