The only way to do this would be to re-issue your own event using snmptrap,
and have that event defined to map the new data you supply to the slot you
want. You could do this either from the automatic action in the Node Down
trap to issue a script of your own, or use a ruleset,. Or you could just
issue the data in a wpostemsg command if you have that available.
But however you do it, the trap must contain the data you want in order for
it to be mapped by nvserverd.

O/S: Sun Solaris 2.6
For the standard netmon event polling a device, and issuing an OV_IF_Down
if
the device does not respond to the poll. If within the configuration of
the
node, the system.sysLocation field was set, and updated in the Object
database. Is it possible to pass this string value to event, so that it
could be mapped to a slot value, and eventually passed to Tivoli, and to
any
problem ticket if necessary?
Currently the only values in the OV_IF_Down event is the hostname,
interface
type and message description.
Thanks for any advice on this question.
