Erika, if you are on Unix:

1) Edit /usr/OV/conf/mibExpr.conf and define a MIB Expression to perform the
math - do a "man mibExpr.conf" for instructions. Let us know if you have
problems with this - it's a little tricky.

2) Define the data collection and the thresholds using Tools --> Data
Collection and Thresholds. Click on "Expression" - your expressions should
be listed. Select your expression and click OK. You may now specify the
resources you want the collection to be performed against and set the
thresholds.

3) Use Options --> Event Configuration --> Trap Customization: SNMP to
configure the threshold event to do a popup (an alternative would be to
define a ruleset). It is one of the netView6000 traps but off the top of my
head I don't remember which one.
