Thanks for the response Ken.
But the Netview V5 Admin Guide, on pages 7-11 and 7-12 seem to disagree with
this. It talks about doing it on Cisco gateways, etc...
Anyone else out there using this functionality??
Any help appreciated.

Yes and I opened a PMR on it. The answer is that those "grayed" out items
are
only for HP hosts and are a "carryover" from when NetView came from
OpenView way
back when.
