I am looking at putting together an integrated network management
"masterclass"
which will embrace the existing NetView education offering from Tivoli,
but will also go beyond to look at how NetView is generally applied to
real-world environments, including the use of add-ons such as IBM Nways
Campus Manager and CiscoWorks. To this end, I would appreciate feedback
from practitioners in the industry as to which features and functions
YOU use and which you very rarely use. I am assuming Unix-based NetView
here, rather than NetView for NT, though input on the NT product would
also be useful. I am also assuming we all use things like event
customisation, snmp applications, topology customisation,... I guess I
am trying to get a more representative view of people's pet likes and
dislikes so I can reflect what 80% of people use 80% of the time..
Here's my list.... the key is F=Frequently used, S=Sometimes used,
R=Rarely, N=Never
