This is true for the NetView to NetView (trapd to trapd case).
MLMs by default use TCP, though you can also set up UDP to other destinations,
or back to NetView.
And the internal TEC adapter in nvserverd uses TCP but not the secured service
of the Framework.
The tecad_nv6k adapter offer both secure and "unsecured" but that is an
installation option and requires your TMR to connect to the TEC TMR.

On UNIX I believe you can forward traps as either TCP or UDP packets.
On NT, I believe that you only have the UDP option.
(Maybe James Shanks can confirm this)
