NetView Service Point is a product which provides connectivity between NetView
for UNIX and NetView for OS/390. It allows you to send selected traps up to the
Hardware Monitor (NPDA) in NetView/390 as SNA laerts and to receive and execute
commands from the NetView/390 operator.

Theoretically, you could also build your own MVS-AIX app which uses Service
Point as a transport but few people have ever tried that, let alone succeeded.

Hello All.

Has anyone ever heard of a product called Netview Service Point??
I am trying to understand where it fits with respect to Netview (5.1.1) for
AIX (4.2.1) and what functionality does it provide??

Any information appreciated.

Sincerely,

Gord Michaels.
