Hi all:
I have NetView 5.1.1 and AIX 4.3.2.

please throw me a bone.

I have two problems:

- Since I moved forward the AIX date and then backward, ( I was making
the y2k tests), the snmpCollect has not collected appropriately snmp
data, the snmpCollect is not collecting the old defined collections,
but if I make a new one the snmpCollect works fine.

- I am not sure what is happening because I have another fault, the
snmpCol.log shows this error message:

Changing requested name of "10.15.201.240" to official name
"m1.bancolombia" indicated by name server.

And when I try to graph the collected data via xnmgraph, it shows this
error message:

Note: IP address x.x.x.x from database for
/usr/OV/databases/snmpCollect/locIfipOutPkts.x matches node xxx.mydomain
on non-official address, not official address of x.x.x.y. Be sure the
IP address have not been re-allocated during data collection.
( both addreses belong to the router xxx.mydomain)

But I can not see any error related to the first problem, in the
snmpCol.log.

I think that the second one is because the DNS is resolving the IP
addresses some times by one IP address and some times by another, but I
have not any idea about the first.

Please, could anybody give to me any suggestion ?

I appreacite very much your help,

Regards,

Sergio Cardona.
