Hello,
It appears that the traps being sent to the netview station all have the same
generic and specific id's but different descriptions. How do I define these ?
Thanks

Yes, some agent is sending you a trap and it is not defined in trapd.conf, so
you should define it. This is covered in Chapter 5 of the NetView
Administrator's Guide. The rest of that card tells you everything you need to
know -- enterprise if, generic id, specific id, and all the trap variables. To
define the trap you issue xnmtrap from the command line (as root) or pull
down Options --> Event Customization from the GUI and add this trap.

Subject: netview cards
Hello,
Can anyone tell me why I get the following message in the event cards: 'Trap
found with no known format in trapd.conf (4)' and what I need to do to fix it ?
Thanks
