Bernan,
I believe another way would be to use the "snmptrap_unsecure" command
located in the /usr/OV/security/cmds directory (or something like that).

You have to put your event command in a script which issues nvauth for the
root
user before execut8ing the event command

Subject: Ruleset Problem
Hi all, I have Netview 5.1.2 , AIX 4.3.2. I have implemented a ruleset
which
sends a customized event using the " event " command when some special
condition occurs ; I have had problems since I activated the Netview
security
because the rule can not send the event , due to nvsecd rejects the event
command execution if the root user is not logged in Netview.
How can I configure Netview to allow the ruleset to send the events with no
root user logged in Netview?
Thanks,
Hernan Dario Villegas
