snmpCollect uses the same community that netmon does because both use the SNMP
Configuration utility. So netmon must not be getting any SNMP data from this
node either. Tyep in xnmsnmpconf from the command line to bring up the dailog
so you can set the correct community string for this node or use the GUI menu
Options --> SNMP Configuration.

I wonder which is the community the demon snmpCollect use to get MIB variables
as I obtain a negative response from a router on which I use a non-default
community in snmp configuration.
From this router I obtain response from (for example) demand poll.
I also obtain response from MIB-Browser if I set in the field 'community' the
community set in the router.
From Data Collection I don't obtain response.
This is the layout of snmpCol.trace
Could not get sysUpTime via SNMP for
plato.telepiu: No response arrived before timeout.
Use MIB browser or snmpwalk to verify that the
node is up and that its agent responds to SNMP.
Not adding any collections for this node.
Can I set the community for Data Collection (if this is the problem) ?
Thanks in advance
