Actually it is the events window which is hanging, right? Can you drag another
application (like printtool) to the window and have it execute?
Are all the daemons running -- ovstatus?
Do netstat -a and see what you get in the send and receive queues. Are there
some of them with very high numbers?
If so, then they are backed up for some reason.
Are you having an nameserver problems? That is the usual cause of slowdowns in
this area.
Did you recently get a big storm of traps recently?
How many are showing up in the trapd.log per second?
When did you first start to notice this, and what operating system and code
level of NetView do you have? How long has this been going on? Nobody can help
unless you give us some history.
And I recommend that you call Support.

Problem Description:
Cannot receive any event in the control desk (even using rule forwardall).
Events arrived in the trapd.log.....no filters...no ESE.automation
manipulation....no rule (just the forwardall).
