I've this problem too (blue object, wrong icon, labeled with IP-Address instead 
of name, ...)
IBMs 1st level support told me 
        - status should be green (even without SNMP)
        - the problem is knwon and reported to the NV-Lab

Hi Gord,

It sounds like you're not getting an snmp response.  Try an snmpwalk or
snmpget.....if that fails, verify the devices are configured for snmp and
that you're using the correct community strings.
