If you are not at 5.1.2, you should be. There were a few fixes to security
in it.
If you want to do snmpgets from scripts and don't want to be bothered with
security, you can use the unsecured versions of the snmp commands found
(I believe) in /usr/OV/security.
I would suggest calling Support, unless anyone else has an idea.

Hello,
I've got a problem with nvsecd.
I collect datas by a script which contains snmpget
commands,security is turned on,so i log in with nvauth.When I start the
GUI,after the Authentication Dialog nvsecd is stopped becouse a signal 4.
Netview is running, but i can't log in by nvauth so my script doesn't
work.becouse Netview refuses the executing of snmpget.
Any idea what is wrong?
