"Back up the system" via SMIT does mksysb; that is backup root volume
group to create a bottable image. All other volume groups are not included
in this mksysb created backup!
You have to do this savevg-job ...
Try a lsvg to list all volume groups and lsvg -l <vg-name> to check out
the filesystems in the non-root-volume-groups and save them with savevg ...

Hi Maggie,
how did you do the "full backup"?
Suppose you are running AIX:
If you do a mksysb, only the rootvg will be saved. For any other volume
group to be saved you have to do a savevg ... Maybe /usr/OV/log on your
system resides in a "non-rootvg"?
Cheers
Dieter
