cd to \usr\ov\log and look for a netmon.trace file. If netmon can write errors
out, this is where he will put them.
Do an "ovstatus netmon". What output do you get? It should give you a last
message if there is one and a return code.

Subject: Netmon not starting on NV512/NT
Hi ,
I'm running NetView 5.1.2 on NT with SP4 and I'm having a problem with netmon
not starting anymore. It used to startup but then I turned on the option "All
devices with secondary adressing" under Options -> Server setup, and then netmon
didn't start anymore. Of course I've tried to turn the option off again, but it
didn't do any good. In the nv.log file it looks like netmon has been started
with an incorrect flag but wich is it? I've browsed the netmon.lrf file and it
starts netmon with a bunch of flags. Is there a good way of listing what
available flags there are for netmon and what they do in NT? The hole thing
began with that I wanted to start netmon with the "-L" flag (in UNIX) but i
didn't find the option anywhere, and now my NetView has no netmon attt all!!
TIA
