First, make sure it is not already there. If it is a hub whose oid is
already known
to Netview (that is, it is in the /usr/OV/conf/oid_to_type file), and it
does not have
more than one IP address, and it is reachable via snmp, then it will appear
in the
Network submap (not on the IP Internet submap).
When you add it, you will have to add it on the segment submap level, that
is,
all the way down at the lowest level. If you are on the correct level,
then the
Add dialog will give you a list of applications to modify. Included will be
the IP Map
application. You may have to scroll through the short list to find it. When
you select
that application, you will be able to set the IP attributes (address, mask,
etc).
Once it is added at the segment level, it will get promoted to the network
level as
well when you unmanage and manage that network, or the next time you do an
ovtopofix.
Cordially,

Subject: Add Object as A Net Device
Hi,
I am new here and have a question as following.
A hub could not be automatically displayed on the IP map, maybe it is
already found by netmon.
When I tried to manually add it from Edit - Add - Object... as a Net
Device, I could not find a place
to set its IP address in Set Object Attributes... Does anyone know how to
solve it?
Thanks in advance!
