Either the hostname or the IP address have changed since you installed NetView.
Run /usr/OV/service/reset_ci and that should fix it.

Subject: Unable to Register daemon

Whenever I issue the command ovaddobj /usr/OV/lrf/<daemon>.lrf, I receive the
error:

ERROR: Unable to connect ot NetView NMS (have you done ovstart?) (OVs 1-16)

I get the same message when I issue the command smitty nv601ab5 and specify a
host to forward all of my traps to.

All of the daemons in my ovsuf file are running and I am logged on as root.

Any ideas of what's out-of-wack on my system?

Thanks, Anne Schahfer
