Then what level of NetView?  The select 9 error is a programming error which is
caused when one codes a select statement without a default action, and then in
practice something happens which isn't covered by one the case statements.
Generally this happens in the nv6000.log because something has happened to one
of the processes started by ovw which got into an unexpected situation.  The
trouble is that it is hard to find such problems in advance if you don't know
where to look. The original developer, working on that module might have gotten
a compiler warning when the code was compiled, but  not done anything about it.
Anyway, APARs have been taken as this has happened to various processes, but I
thought that by 5.1.2 they were all gone.
