I have a customer who has tried installing 5.1.2 patch an dencountered some
peculiar problems.
The readme was followed and the install appeared to run smoothly , but ran
into a problem when restarting the applications afterwards. The server and
client patches were applied - no error in the /tmp directory in the
update.log file and no *.errors file. On completion "ovstart" worked OK but
on starting "nv6000" the following
message was displayed:
" Client / Server configuration error for (unknown):
" " /usr/OV/database/servername not found. Probably
not configured for a server.
" " Use TME 10 desktop Add/Change Server to try to correct the problem.
The patch was backed out sucessfully.
Does any one know what may have caused this problem and to to reinstall
correctly?
