I don't understand the question you are asking.
You order NetView for UNIX Version 6.0 from Tivoli/IBM. Then you must install
it. It will not come pre-installed on any machine from IBM, nor will it come
pre-installed on any Solaris machine. You should be able to order NetView
Version 6.0 from the same IBM sales representative that you order AIX and your
RISC/6000 box from., if you want just one contact person.
If you are asking about installing the product, then I can tell you that AIX
4.3.1 and 4.3.2 have been out a comparatively long while and NetView installs
there with no problem. I have 4.3.1 on my desk and my office mate runs 4.3.2.
There were issues with AIX 4.3.3, but I am told that these are resolved in
NetView Version 6.0.
As for Solaris, my sources tell me that Solaris 8 is not GA yet but only in beta
and that our Verification group has not tested with that release yet. So I
would stay away from Solaris 8 unless you want to be the pioneer who determines
if there are any problems.
