Format Error means that the Event Log Message in trapd.conf for that event is
incorrect. As the rest of the error message says "accessing element #2, only 1
available" the trap has only one variable present but somebody defined the
message using $2. There is no $2 in this case, and you have to go back in with
xnmtrap and change the message format. The same seems to hold for $3 in this
case based on the next message.

Subject: [NV-L] FMT ERROR Messages
We are seeing these FMT ERROR messages in our log... these are not similar
to the normal FORMAT NOT FOUND messages you see if you don't have the
proper MIBS loaded.... has anyone seen these? Thanks!
