Do you have the map open read-write? Is the event wondow running in the control
desk connected to the map?
What is the symbol status source of the object? Right click on the object on
the map and select Edit --> Modify/describe --> Symbol and read what the source
is. Is it compound propagated? Then you must first modify the Nvevents app
defaults ot make this work.

And this looks like a netmon-controlled object. Why do you want to alter its
status?

Hi all!

I tried to use nv6000 58916871 trap to set the status of an object. I received
the trap in my workspace but the node on my map stayed to normal status.

I tried:

snmptrap 159.50.2.76 .1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.3 159.50.2.76 6 58916871 0 \
.1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.3.58916871.1 OctetString 14 \
.1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.3.58916871.2 OctetString sxanitrt5202.bnp.fr \
.1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.3.58916871.3 OctetString "Object status is" \
.1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.3.58916871.4 OctetString $status

with $status in : User1, User2, Up, Down ...

159.50.2.76 is the IP address of my netview server, its selection name is
sxanitrt5202.bnp.fr .

What am i doing wrong?

Best regards.
