Peter -
The answer to questions (1) and (2) is "no". No such capability exists.
The answer to the third one is that you will have to "play" with the shell
coordinates

Subject: [NV-L] More alert help please
I appreciate any comment or direction on following event desk related
questions from our customer:
Our plateform is UNIX . Can I do following request on Netview ?
1. When the trap comes in to my Event Desk, Can I flash this new trap for
"critical event " ?
I can use ovxbeep today to create a special window
2. Can I freeze the event desk when the "critical event/trap" comes in ? The
intention is to let operator know that
there is a critical event comes in and do not allow the event desk to scroll
up automatically for other newer events
before the old event is observed by the operator ?
I understand that there is a "freeze" button at the bottom of the event
desk. But I just wonder is any other way to
let event desk freeze for special occasions automatically instead of click
it manually?
3. Is any direction to control the startup location of the map and event
desk when I first startup nv6000 ?
I read thru the app-defaults under /usr/OV/..., but I am not sure which
parameters are to control the location of the "map" and "event desk" ?
