The files you are looking for are /usr/OV/app-defaults/Nvevents (current
events) and Nvela (events history). The line you want to change is:
nvevents.initialPressCard : False
An alternative would be to code in the users' respective $HOME/.Xdefaults.

the Control Desk events in List format?
My users immediately change the format to List instead of Cards after
opening NV.
